This is not big news to anyone, anywhere, but it represents a proud accomplishment for me and a select group of people. FUNK 101 is the prestigious Poughkeepsie NY band I helped establish in the fall of 2003.
Now, 'back from our exclusive five year tour of Europe and Scandinavia,' we will be returning to our roots, Poughkeepsie NY's very own Pick-Wick Pub. Yes that's right, while this lively local favorite might have bars on the windows, it is home to a crew more colorful than 'Cheers.'
June 13, 2008 the funk will play in the Pick-wick, our triumphant return after we played their on May 24 and were very warmly received. Prior to that Oct 15, 2007 @ the Chance was the last time we've been in the same room together.
This place represents a great time for all. Outdoors area for chilling is great and you will find me doing my thing out there, and Funk 101 will provide a great night of music, like only a group of people truly happy to preforming can do.
Show starts @ between 9 and 10pm and will go till around 1am. Heres one of my favorite examples of our sound
