Same Old Jets @ Bullpen

I'm very excited for this weekends' event, an all around celebration (see below post).

Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 p.m. to early morning of Feb. 22.
1678 First Ave, (between 87th St. & 88th St.), New York, NY
Below is the Press Release:

"Free SHow in NYC: Same Old Jets, 'A musical throwback to a time when love was free and cigs were cheap.'

Dave Heinz, Tom Clancey, Gregg Minutoli and Eric Levine invite you to join them for a night of music and booze on the Upper East Side.

The Same Old Jets (SOJ's... formerly known as Everyone Gets Laid) have been rebranded to reflect a catalogue of original music in addition to the great bar covers you've grown to love. On Saturday, Feb. 21, come to the Upper East Side's finest pub -BULLPEN NYC on 88th and 1st- to hear tracks from the SOJ's new EP "So Broke in Hoboken" and the endless array of covers raging from the Doors to approximately 30 minutes of Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper's Delight.

While we can't guarentee that everyone will get laid... 60 percent of the time, it works every time.

BREAKIN NEWS from Fox News Flannel

"Congratulations to the esteemed Reverend Robert K. Boyce III, America’s newest ambassador to the Far East.

Perhaps you’ve heard the whispers? They are confirmed.

Everyone’s favorite, hating on FOX News Channel, wearin lotsa flannel, Rob, has signed a One-Year Professional Contract to begin immediately in the Mok-Dong, South Korea.

Pending an interview at the consulate in Manhattan (like stealing candy for Rob Banks), Flannel could be off as early as Monday, experiencing the other-side of the world into 2010. His new home base, far from Plainview, NY, will be on the banks of Han River, deep in the Yangcheon-gu neighborhood of Seoul.

However in a celebratory event, the Reverend will join the Bullpen crowd, at the behest of Same Old Jets, less than 72 hours before the terms of his contract must be executed.

Help us wish him Bon Voyage prior to his maiden trans-continental voyage."

GOT SOUL?

FUZZY ROB -(proper noun)- Musician, man of mystery, famed open-mic leader and ladies man.

GOT SOUL @ THE OLD FASHIONED RESTAURANT

81 South Broadway, Nyack NY 10960
9p.m?

Fuzzy saw us at Sal's this past weekend after we've known each other on and off over the past year. He asked THC to come gig with his band Got Soul. We've had no rehersals, so will be pure chaos spun from the mother of invention. HIT ME.

Arod -Steppin Out

around six weeks or ? but still going strong at Steppin' Out.
Thanks to this picture I actually encroached on celebrity Journalist/Editor Chaunce Hayden's "Asshole of the Week" Column.. and he gave me a 'shoutout' on his page. Read the magazine online, or pick it up at the bagel store, bar or out of the garbage. I'm on page 28. Also check out my friend Laurie Kaplan p. 38.

Tame-Humble-Comedown of THC

What a great feeling. The themes of the night were there, worked into the songs.

There was all night ’till daylight, the central thesis of the evening. Music gona teach them, the old Marley tune that is transcends myself more than I intend it to be preachy. By the end of the night I was asking, who quit the game?

And at some point I thought, ‘if I could only do this more often…’ I watched the full moon long after the crowd had gone to bed, failing to realize the meaning of all night, till daylight. I was thankful to have a bill to trade for a cab home to my own bed just before the sunrise.

Thanks to those who made THC’s return to Sal’s –let the royal trumpets sound - awesome. I had a great time and am truly blessed to be playing music and having fun. We recorded the night; anything fit to release we'll mix over the next week and throw up on Myspace. Peace and Love.

THC @ SAL's

It's been one new year, two presidents and three broken vertabrea since THC last played at Sal's. I'd say that means it's about time to do it again.

TOM HARTLAND COLLECTIVE Live @ Sal's:

Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 : 9:30 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Sal's is a swanky liquor store strip mall bar. That being said, the place has an unmistakeable charm. Perhaps it's the suprisingly nice bar. Probably, it's the class of characters who frequent it. But when THC play's there, it's our home turf, and that means it'll be on as our friends and family get down to party. Join us for the music and drinks, stay the night, than join us for an after party of epic proportions. The sun will rise on Feb. 8, and we'll be there to see it.

Sal's Place is located at the A&P Shopping Center: 275 Pascack Road, Washington Township, NJ 07675

(That's the photo we're using in our promotions, which I find to be strikingly similar to our actual look, although shockingly, it's not us. That's one of the top hits in a Sal's Google Image search and it is indeed taken at Sal's.)
